Experiences

Located on the southern coast of Sicily, about a two-hour drive from Palermo, Agrigento is a premier destination for history enthusiasts. The main draw is the Valley of the Temples (Valle dei Templi), an archaeological park containing a series of incredibly well-preserved ancient Greek temples dating back to the 6th century BC. The Temple of Concord is particularly impressive, almost entirely intact. Walking among these ancient ruins under the warm Sicilian sun is a moving experience, especially as the temples glow golden during sunset. The modern town of Agrigento, perched on a hilltop above the valley, offers a quieter, more local atmosphere with excellent views of the archaeological site.
