Experiences

Set on a small oval peninsula on the island of the same name, Korčula Town is often called a miniature Dubrovnik due to its preserved medieval towers and limestone ramparts. Uniquely designed with a herringbone street pattern to allow refreshing sea breezes to circulate while shielding residents from harsh winds, the town invites visitors to wander narrow alleys filled with carved stone balconies and tiny craft shops.

Reputed to be the birthplace of legendary merchant traveler Marco Polo, the town features historic sights dedicated to his expeditions alongside the magnificent Gothic-Renaissance Saint Mark's Cathedral. Beyond its stone gates, the island of Korčula is celebrated for its lush pine forests, tranquil hidden coves, and terraced vineyards producing distinctive indigenous white wines like Pošip and Grk.
