Experiences

Located two hours northwest of Buenos Aires, San Antonio de Areco is the heartland of Argentine criollo culture and gaucho folklore. The town preserves an unhurried 19th-century lifestyle, marked by colonial facades, old-fashioned pulperías (traditional taverns), and silversmith workshops where master artisans hammer intricate silver belt buckles and yerba mate gourds.

The surrounding countryside is dotted with historic estancias (cattle ranches) where visitors can spend a traditional 'Día de Campo'. These day visits include horseback rides across vast plains, folkloric guitar music, and lavish open-flame asados prepared by skilled local horsemen.
